Coach Carl Toussaint: A Legacy of Discipline, Heart, and Leadership

A dedicated leader and Army war veteran, Coach Toussaint brings a rare combination of discipline, structure, and heartfelt mentorship to the football program. His coaching journey began at the grassroots level in Little League, where he laid the foundation of a coaching philosophy built on hard work and accountability. From there, he advanced to Head JV Coach, sharpening his craft and deepening his commitment to developing young athletes. Now, stepping into the role of Head Coach, he brings high expectations paired with unwavering support, pushing student-athletes to discover and reach their full potential—both on and off the field.

Drawing directly from his military background, Coach Toussaint operates on a simple but powerful belief: discipline is the key to success, in football and in life. He holds his players to high standards, but always leads by example—serving as a steady role model who teaches resilience, character, and life skills that will serve his athletes long after the final whistle blows.

Off the field, Coach Toussaint is a proud father of four. Three of his children are currently forging their paths through college—two sons and a daughter—while his youngest son walks the halls right here at PPCHS. Few things make him prouder than watching his own kids excel in rigorous coursework and Dual Enrollment programs while competing as student-athletes themselves. That same standard of balancing academic and athletic excellence is one he strives to instill in every player he coaches.

When he's not patrolling the sidelines, Coach Toussaint loves traveling with his family, spending time out on the water, firing up the grill for a good tailgate, and watching Formula 1 races. A true sports fanatic at heart, he can be found cheering on the Miami Dolphins, FIU, and UM—which means, in one form or another, he's living and breathing football seven days a week.
