Damion McIntosh arrived at Kansas State in 1995 by way of McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida. A native of Jamaica, McIntosh didn't pick up football until high school, where his imposing size quickly translated into dominant play on both sides of the line. Manning both defensive and offensive tackle, he drew recruiting interest from programs across the country, ultimately choosing Kansas State after being recruited by then-defensive coordinator Bob Stoops.
McIntosh redshirted his first year before spending his next three seasons of eligibility at defensive tackle, earning All-Big 12 honors along the way. Then, heading into his senior season in 1999, Coach Bill Snyder made a pivotal call—asking McIntosh to move to left offensive tackle to fill a critical need. The switch changed the trajectory of his career: McIntosh was selected in the third round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers as an offensive tackle.
Over the course of a 10-year NFL career, McIntosh suited up for four teams—the Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks—cementing his reputation as a durable, dependable presence on the offensive line.
Now 48, McIntosh resides in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area with his family. He remains close to the game as a volunteer high school football coach, while also managing a range of business interests.
